I just had my coffee and ice cream in the shade while watching the humming birds come to their feeding place. I am in San Jose, California. It is August 12th 2018, my birthday. I have responded to all the Happy Birthday wishes on Facebook. Thank you. Yes, I know that Facebook reminds us about the birthday’s and, yes, I have to admit that I like the attention once in a year!! It does not hurt.

When I grew up I can hardly remember that I celebrated my birthday with my class mates. My day was at the late summer when most people still were on vacation, days before the school started again. No bad feelings, it was totally okei.

I grew up in the middle of five siblings. I remember how I adored my oldest sister. Maybe I was a little too much for her since she tried to get rid of me when she walked in the forest with her friends to pick berries. I don’t blame her. I remember that I cried all that I could to make sure my voice was heard all the way into the field.  I could be about five years old. My sister has later told me how upset she became by hearing me screaming her name.

Another thing I remember from my childhood was that my sister told me that our family found me at the doorsteps when a group of gypsies passed through our neighborhood!  Love between siblings never changes.
