To
everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven,
………. A time to weep, and A time to laugh…….. (Ecclesiaster

January
6, 2017 was a dark day for our family.
My mother at the age of 90 was hit by a bus and had to amputate her left leg above her knee. The family was called and told that she was in a critical condition not sure if she would survive. They had to transfer about 3-4 liter blood. The healing process was a miracle. She returned home after a couple of months in a wheelchair. She survived infections and several surgeries.
With tears in her eyes, my mother told me that she was convinced that God had helped her.
When the accident happened, we were told that a foreign young man took off his jacket and covered our mother with his jacket. It was a dark and cold evening. Our mother tried to get up but the injury was to severe and she fainted. She was bleeding tremendously, while waiting for the ambulance.
We tried to figure out who that young man was who showed our mother mercy by covering her with his jacket. But we were not able to find the young man. We wanted to thank him for showing mercy to our mother.
A year passed.
One day my sister Guri was driving passing by the airport she saw a young man by the road giving sign that he needed a ride to the city. He had lost the bus. My sister stopped and offered the young man a seat in her car. He was happy to get into the car and told he was 17 years old and his name was Josef. He was a refugee from Syria living with his mom. My sister asked him if he was a christian referring to his name Josef. He confessed that he was a believer in Jesus Christ.
My sister told him the story about our mother who was involved in a bus accident a year ago. Josef looked very surprised by this and told my sister that he witnessed the accident, he was there. My sister asked Josef if he was the young man we had been looking for who lay his jacket on our mother to warm her.
And guess what, YES HE WAS!!
My sister arranged a meeting with Josef and our mother to greet each other. Our mother was happy to be able to thank Josef for his kindness to her. She hugged Josef over and over again not wanting to let him go. It was a big surprise for both of them.
My
sister is still in contact with Josef like he belongs to the family.

13 Sing,
O heavens!
Be joyful, O earth!
And break out in singing, O
mountains!
For the Lord has comforted His people,
And
will have mercy on His afflicted.
Isaiah 41:
10 Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
